Holiday Volunteering with Angel Tree Salvation Army (Members Only)

Come volunteer with us at the Salvation Army Angel Tree on Saturday, December 10th from 9 AM -12 PM. Recognizing that every child deserves to feel the joy of Christmas, The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to more than one-million children in need each year. https://southernusa.salvationarmy.org/metro-atlanta/angel-tree/

Volunteers will help unload and sort donations from trucks, and verify that all "angel" bags have been received.  This is a warehouse setting, and volunteers will be moving and walking on concrete, so dress comfortably. Please ensure that you can be at the event for the entire timeframe.  If for any reason you have to cancel, please let us know at info@atlrisingwomen.com.

Note from Salvation Army:

Parking is located at 4508 Bibb Blvd, two blocks north; we ask that you park along the hedges facing Tucker Industrial Road (parking area is diagonal from Windowcrafters business)  Wear comfortable clothes (jeans, t-shirt) and sneakers.

You will be moving and lifting donations on a concrete floor so you will want comfy, rubber soled shoes.  Please wear layers as the warehouse fluctuates with the weather.  This is a warehouse facility, exposed to outside elements at times, and the indoor temperature my fluctuate throughout the shift. You will be moving around a lot so you will warm up quickly.
