Get out and active! We're exploring hike locations around the Atlanta area and will be following with a stretch session led by Health Coach & Fitness Instructor ARW Member, Lindsay Wenndt!

This month we will be hiking Sawnee Mountain's Indian Seats Trail up in Cumming (4 mi). This is a loop trail, moderate to difficult because of the 500+ ft elevation gain. This trail hikes up to the summit of Sawnee Mountain, where you can see views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Easily one of the best views in North Atlanta. Parking is included (yay!).

It's a good idea to bring: There are restrooms at the visitor's center, and the north part of the trailhead also starts at the visitor's center so we can meet there. This trail is unfortunately not dog friendly, so pups will need to stay home. A good address to plug into GPS is: 4075 Spot Rd, Cumming, GA 30040. For this hike, hiking boots and poles are strongly recommended. Bring minimum 2L water, a salty snack, and bug spray.
