Get out and active! We're exploring hike locations around the Atlanta area and will be following with a stretch session led by Health Coach & Fitness Instructor ARW Member, Lindsay Wenndt!

Red Top Mountain State Park's Iron Hill Trail (3.8 mi). This is a loop trail, moderate difficulty, that hugs the shoreline of Lake Allatoona for great views and photo ops. The trail is dog-friendly, and has a modest elevation gain of 180 ft (AKA not too hilly). 

Important: there are no restrooms on this trail, so stop at the visitor's center on the way in if you need to use the restroom before we start the hike. The trail has its own parking lot, so we'll meet there. For this hike, hiking boots are recommended but not required and poles not needed. Bring minimum 2L water, a salty snack, and bug spray (summer's not over yet!).

The parking lot is small and fills up early, so emphasize getting there promptly. Plug Iron Hill Trail into GPS,  the parking lot is on Red Top Mountain Rd SE on the right a half mile past the campground.
